Milford Legion Baseball Shocks Northbridge with Dazzling Comeback

Milford’s legion baseball faced off against Northbridge last night in a tightly contested rematch. IN their earlier matchup in the year, Milford dominated the game in every facet, winning convincingly 14-0. This time around, Northbridge put forth their best effort, limiting a dynamic Milford offense to just four runs, a season low for the powerhouse. Northbridge had contributions across the board, most notably Dylan Diosomito, who drove in two runs while playing a great game behind the dish. Milford, on the other hand, came up clutch when it mattered most, in extra innings, to take this one and take their record to 10-0. Milford found themselves down 3-0 after the fourth inning, but Daniel Heisler and Derek Hatherley’s relief pitching steadied the ship. Offensively, Milford came up clutch in the seventh and eighth innings, with shortstop Sam Schoenberg notably driving in two runs to help Milford complete the comeback. This was the most competitive game of the season for Milford, who will look to keep their winning ways going tonight at home against Northborough. This one takes place at 7 PM and is a rematch where Milford will look to run up the board like they have for most of the season.
