Nipmuc Boys Lacrosse Ends Season in Second Round Loss to Ipswich

The Nipmuc boys lacrosse team’s season concluded Wednesday afternoon with a 13-9 defeat against the fifth-seeded Ipswich Tigers. The Warriors entered the matchup with a balanced attack, but Ipswich’s potent offense ultimately proved too much. Nipmuc’s offense was sparked by Parker Roadman, who tallied five assists, consistently finding open teammates cutting toward the cage. Caden Mastroianni won 11 faceoffs and scored twice, helping the Warriors secure possession and generate scoring chances. In goal, Brayden Silveria made ten saves, denying numerous high-quality shots to keep Nipmuc within striking distance. Despite these standout efforts, Nipmuc struggled to contain Ipswich’s transition game. The Tigers, who boasted a 12-4 record and had won six of their last seven contests, capitalized on loose clears and settled in quickly whenever they secured possession. Nipmuc’s defense applied pressure, forcing several errant passes, but Ipswich repeatedly found seams in the midfield and converted turnovers into goals. This marks the second straight year Nipmuc exited the playoffs in the round of 16.
