The Nipmuc Warriors boy’s volleyball team soared to an outstanding 18–2 regular‐season record, earning the No. 6 seed in the Division 1 playoffs. They closed their campaign on a high note, winning their final five matches by identical 3–0 sweeps. In their season finale, Nipmuc overwhelmed Westwood, dominating every rally with precise serve‐receive, seamless transitions, and an offense that punished even the tightest blocks. Their only two losses came at the hands of elite Division 2 programs, Marlborough and Medfield, both ranked among the top ten in their division. Those setbacks came early, and the Warriors responded by tightening rotations, sharpening their defensive reads, and developing multiple scoring threats. In the playoffs, Nipmuc will face the winner of Friday’s preliminary match between No. 27 Taunton and No. 38 Algonquin. Though unfamiliar with either opponent, the Warriors enter as overwhelming favorites based on their consistency, depth, and strength of schedule. With all facets of their game clicking, serves, setting, hitting, and blocking, the Warriors are primed for a significant postseason run and a chance to contend for a state title.
