Spartans Baseball Honors Seniors with 3–2 Win

Senior Night at Uxbridge High became a celebratory affair as the Spartans edged Blackstone Valley Tech 3–2 on Wednesday, moving to 14–5 on the season. The pitching duel featured tight, low-scoring innings punctuated by clutch defense. Uxbridge’s starter worked out of jams, mixing off-speed offerings to stymie the Beavers’ lineup. Offensively, the game’s lone runs came in the third inning when senior Talen Rosborough launched a two-run homer, a moment that electrified the crowd and provided the go-ahead score. Rosborough finished 2-2 with a double and three RBIs, showcasing his power and timing. Blackstone Valley chipped away but couldn’t overcome the Spartans’ timely pitching changes and solid infield play, which turned a key double play to snuff out a late rally. Uxbridge closed out the final two innings with composed pitching and a defensive highlight at third base that preserved the one-run margin. With their regular season finale against Tantasqua on deck, the Spartans look to parlay this senior-led victory into a top-nine spot in the D4 power rankings. A win over the Warriors would cap a memorable home send-off and set the tone for a postseason push.
