After back-to-back losses to Lincoln-Sudbury (9–3) and Milford (5–1), the Hopkinton Hillers softball team surged back into form with a 12–4 victory over Medway on Monday afternoon. The offense exploded early, scoring six runs in the first two innings, demonstrating both power hitting and aggressive baserunning. Multiple Hillers collected multi-hit games, with several players contributing extra-base knocks to keep Medway’s defense off balance. Hopkinton’s starter bore the brunt of early scoring before the bullpen closed out the final innings, allowing the offense to extend the lead. Defensively, the Hillers turned two key double plays that halted Medway rallies and preserved momentum. That balanced performance marked the third blowout victory in their last three outings, with the Hillers outscoring opponents 37–5 during that stretch. Tomorrow at 5 PM, Hopkinton hosts Bellingham, a near-.500 squad that will test the Hillers’ continued surge. Playing on Hillers’ Diamond, Hopkinton will look to leverage its offensive depth and sharpen its defense in pursuit of a fourth straight win, reinforcing its status as a top contender in the Tri-Valley League.
