Franklin High School’s baseball team celebrated senior night Tuesday against the Canton Bulldogs in a competitive 7–5 loss. While the Bulldogs took the lead early, the Panthers fought back behind strong at-bats from senior Sean Kyrzak, who continues to provide leadership in the middle of the lineup. Despite the setback, Franklin showed resilience by matching Canton run-for-run until late in the game. The night before, the Panthers again showcased their potential against the Milford Scarlet Hawks. In that matchup, sophomore pitcher DJ Silverstein delivered five strong innings, allowing just five hits, zero earned runs, and striking out five, to keep Franklin within striking distance before the bullpen took over. At the plate, both Kyrzak and Patrick Luizzi drove in three runs apiece, accounting for more than half of the team’s offensive production in the game. On Monday, Franklin had produced one of its most complete performances of the season in an 11–1 victory over the Stoughton Black Knights. That win was powered by another standout outing from Sean Kyrzak, who went 3-for-4 at the plate and scored three times, helping to spark an early offensive surge. Now sitting at a game below .500, Franklin will look to build on these sporadic flashes of brilliance when they host Sharon High School next Monday at 7 PM. With senior leaders Kyrzak and Luizzi driving the offense and Silverstein emerging as a reliable arm, the Panthers have clear building blocks as they push toward a stronger second half of the season.
