The Town of Franklin honored two of its most dominant programs this week, recognizing the championship-winning boys basketball team and the powerhouse cheer squad. Franklin boys basketball captured its first-ever state title this season, led by head coach CJ Neely’s elite defensive system and the dynamic play of Caden Sullivan, Olmstead, and Samuels. On the cheer side, Franklin continued its dynasty with a third national championship in four years, alongside a fifth consecutive state title. Both squads received proclamations from the Town Council, celebrating their accomplishments and the pride they’ve brought to the Franklin community. With banners hung and records broken, it’s been a year to remember for Franklin athletics.
