No one was hurt in Milford as Firefighters successfully battled a building fire on South Street last Sunday. The multi-alarm blaze affected an eight-unit apartment building. Residents and pets were safely evacuated, but now need a new place to live as there is extensive damage to the building.The American Red Cross is assisting displaced families. Firefighters say the fire was one of the largest in recent years It spread to the attic and roof, making it challenging for crews to extinguish. Preliminary investigations suggest the fire started on the exterior of the building.
