Thirteen-year-old William Roberts has proven his passion for speed and adventure by switching from go-karting to the high-speed sport of luging after a serious injury. Inspired by Olympian Zack DiGregorio from Medway, William’s interest in luging ignited during the 2022 Olympics, and he has made remarkable strides in just three years.

At the 2025 USA Luge Youth B National Championships held at Utah Olympic Park on March 7-8, William clinched gold with a combined time of 2:55.485 over two runs, marking his first national title in the sport. His impressive performance underscores his determination and rapid progress as he sets his sights on the international stage.

With Olympic dreams fueling his training, William Roberts is quickly emerging as a standout talent in youth luging. His journey from a go-kart enthusiast to a champion luger highlights not only his resilience but also the promise of a bright future representing his country and region in the world of high-speed winter sports.
