Hopedale Girls Tennis is gearing up to replicate last year’s success as they aim to return to the Division Final Four. The team’s renewed optimism is largely fueled by standout players Kate Firesema and Pia Obrador, both entering their Junior season this spring. Firesema, coming off an impressive sophomore campaign with a 13-2 record in number 2 singles, has consistently demonstrated her competitive edge. Meanwhile, Obrador delivered an undefeated 15-0 record in number 1 singles, earning her the title of DVC Number 1 Singles Player of the Year for the second time—a testament to her exceptional skills on the court.
With these two leaders at the forefront, the team is determined to bridge the gap that kept them from the championship last season. Obrador is also eyeing a third player of the year trophy as she continues her journey toward championship glory. Hopedale Girls Tennis is not only looking to honor last year’s achievements but also to build on them, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.
