The Panthers wrapped up the 2024-25 season with an impressive 27-1 record, going a perfect 16-0 in league play to earn the title of the #1 ranked team in the state. Led by star senior guard Caden Sullivan and the steady guidance of Coach Neely, the team entered the postseason as overwhelming favorites.
In the playoffs, the Panthers showcased their dominance with both commanding and close victories. They kicked off the postseason with a 37-point win over Shrewsbury, followed by an 8-point semi-final triumph against Central Catholic. After years of near misses in championship games—falling short in 2014, 2018, 2020, and 2023—Franklin delivered a dramatic finale. Their championship victory over Newton North, won by a razor-thin 3-point margin, demonstrated their championship DNA and grit during their most dominant season yet.
Caden Sullivan’s 31-point performance sealed the win, making this victory even sweeter after last year’s disappointing finals. With their hand raised as State Champions, the Panthers can now rest, proud of ending their season on such a dramatic high.
