There’s a new novel out about the lives of Irish and Italian immigrants in Milford in the 1880s. “The Remembering: Of Leather & Stone” by Charles Paul Collins follows the lives of two men as they navigate Milford while working toward the American Dream, one in boot-making, the other in stone-cutting. The Milford Historical Commission says it took Collins three years to write the book as he researched his own family history as well Milford’s.
