A Bellingham man has died as the result of an accident Tuesday night on North Main Street. Bellingham Police Lieutenant Stephen Daigle confirmed Craig Spencer died of his injuries after being hit by a car while trying to cross the street. Spencer was airlifted from the scene to a trauma center where he passed away. Daigle says the driver of the car, a 21-year-old from Bellingham, stayed at the scene and was cooperating. So far investigators say the driver was not under the influence and was not speeding.
