ByMyFM’s Claire Beverly – It was an eight-vote margin, but Southborough Town Meeting voters have said yes to updating the zoning bylaws to create some MBTA Communities Overlay Districts to help comply with state laws to plan for more affordable housing. Three districts were named within the warrant article – one near Woodland Road and Blendon Woods Drive and Southville Road, another at Madison Place and third on St. Martin Drive. The Community Advocate reports the Planning Board held more than 45 meetings about MBTA zoning.
