By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Milford Regional Medical Center has a new Milford Addiction Care Team. The team will provide assessments, resources, counseling, and recovery coaching for patients with alcohol dependency or substance use disorders in the hospital. The MACT is funded through a grant from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services which came from legal settlements with opioid manufacturers. They say last year Worcester County hospitals had 12,694 substance-related emergency room visits.
