Milford Proposes Power Aggregation Program for Lower Rates

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Milford town officials have asked the state’s Department of Public Utilities to approve a plan for a municipal aggregation program which would allow residents to buy power as a group in bulk and pay a lower power supply rate than National Grid. In a notice on the Milford town website, they say they’ve chosen the company Good Energy which brokers power for about 50 other towns. Residents could opt out of the plan and stick with National Grid. There’s a public hearing on March 25 which you can attend on Zoom.
