Red Sox Community Mourns Loss of Stacy Wakefield to Pancreatic Cancer

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Red Sox family is mourning the loss of Stacy Wakefield who passed away Wednesday following a battle with pancreatic cancer. Her death comes just months after the death of her husband Hall of Famer Tim Wakefield who passed away after suffering a seizure after brain cancer surgery. The Wakefields were known for their dedication to the local community, supporting many events such as Hopkinton’s Sharon Timlin Memorial Road Race for ALS research, named for the mom of Red Sox teammate Mike Timlin.
